Greenovative Design & Engineering

History

Greenovative Design & Engineering (GD&E) began as a natural outgrowth of our Madrid Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG). During the early planning stages of our building we wanted the building and the surrounding property to exemplify the beauty of the natural environment, as well as to minimize energy consumption and be constructed of environmentally safe and recyclable materials. Through the construction process, we learned what it takes to design a green building, but we were not as yet certified to do the design. We decided to create a collaborative group of likeminded, environmentally responsible corporate citizens, who would help us to take the seeds of our knowledge and grow and expand it to serve others in the government, industrial, commercial, and private sectors. GD&E has agreements with corporate partners whose expertise includes architecture, mechanical and electrical design, construction management and purchasing, photovoltaics, and other energy/environmental concentrations, to create a group of Greenovative Partners that can tackle virtually any assignment, large or small. Our partners are from central and northeast Florida, and our service area is primarily within the southeast United States.

Members of GD&E and of our partners are LEED certified engineers and scientists, and we have committed to continually expanding our knowledge based upon all things green and sustainable. Since our inception, additional LEED certifications have been awarded to our staff and partners, and we have developed expertise in geothermal applications to air conditioning systems. We will continue to develop and grow to meet the needs of the planet and our clients.

The GD&E team has long term relationships with top shelf manufacturers of renewable energy and environmental compliance products. Team members recently traveled to China and met with solar panel manufacturing firms and other renewable energy firms. Our relationships with US and International companies gives GD&E a strategic and competitive advantage that we bring to our clients.
